This VFX shot was made entirely in Blender, integrating a Mixamo-rigged and animated character into live-action footage using an Ian Hubert-inspired production approach.

Ian Hubert's workflow prioritizes speed and a specific handheld aesthetic — imperfect, kinetic, and cinematic — over technical perfection. Adopting it meant learning to use Blender's camera tracking and compositing tools together as a unified pipeline.

Made in third year for personal growth rather than a course, this project was about proving a capability: taking a VFX shot from plate to finished composite independently.
