Handmade Animations

This was the first piece of animation I made entirely by hand, frame by frame — no digital assist, no interpolation. Produced for a handmade animation course, it was an introduction to the discipline of traditional technique.

The process was instructive in ways that working digitally is not: the constraint of physical media forces commitment to each frame, and the errors are visible in a way that software can mask.

The piece represents a foundation — understanding where the medium came from before working with digital tools that abstract it.
