ARE YOU ENGAGED? / I AM NOT ENGAGED is an audiovisual installation displayed on three vertically stacked CRT televisions. The piece uses the format of modern media — short-form content, political news, algorithmic feeds — as both subject and structure.
The work operates across multiple tonal registers: satire, surrealism, and direct commentary coexist within the same run-time. The effect is deliberate — mirroring the disorienting tonal flatness of the media landscape it critiques.
Produced using Premiere Pro, TouchDesigner, and After Effects, the three-screen format distributes the viewer's attention across channels the way actual media consumption does, forcing choices about where to look and what to absorb.
