A short film set in a neon-lit dystopian future where four gambling addicts must expose a rigged poker system. A senior-year collaborative project using Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Blender.
Aces Wired follows four gambling addicts trapped in a high-stakes poker game in a neon-lit dystopian future. To survive, they must overcome their mutual distrust and work together to expose the real cheater — and dismantle the rigged system controlling their fate.
Made in collaboration with two other students for an advanced visual effects course during senior year at Chatham University, the project required coordinating across narrative, production design, and post-production workflows simultaneously.
The pipeline combined Premiere Pro for editing, After Effects for compositing and grade, and Blender for 3D environment extensions and VFX elements. The finished piece is a complete short film from script to final color.
